Are you planning on gaining admission into the Niger Delta University? This document has been published to help you though.
You can gain admission into the Niger Delta University in 6 ways:
- As a Jambite into 100 level
- As a Direct Entry Candidate into 200 level
- As a Postgraduate student
- As a Part Time student into 100 level
- As a Predegree student, and
- As a Basic student
1. Gain Admission into the Niger Delta University as a Jambite into 100 level
To gain admission into the Niger Delta University as a Jambite into 100 level, purchase Jamb form which is often released January-February of any year. It is sold in accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) centres and Jamb offices nationwide. Some cafes may also have affiliation to CBTs and sell Jamb forms. To know more about Jamb Examination dates, kindly visit the nearest café to make inquiries.
Jamb form is sold for an average total cost of N5,000, depending on the CBT you used. Get N7,000 ready per adventure of higher charge.
Jamb exam often commences around March through April. Ensure you prepare well and get a very good score. If you are going for Medicine and related highly competitive programmes, ensure to get a score around 250.
The NDU Jamb cutoff mark to be eligible to purchase the post UTME form is often 160. However, in 2021/2022, due to general poor performance, the score was reduced to 150. We believe the cutoff mark will bounce back to 160. Then Law was 220, Medicine 250, Pharmacy, Nursing and Mass Comm 180. Please note that 2022/2023 may come with its own cutoff marks.
Ensure you have your o’level result ready. O’level result means WAEC or NECO. Also ensure the four major subjects that qualifies you to study the course you are going for are ready with an addition of a fifth subject making it 5 o’level credits. Check Jamb brochure to see the four subjects you need to study the programme of study you are aspiring for. If your result(s) is/are not complete and you want to use awaiting result (AR), ensure you enrol the right subjects.
After writing Jamb examination, then by June through August, NDU Post UTME form will be released. If you always follow our online handles, you will get updates on the announcement from the NDU management releasing the sales of Post UTME form. Kindly follow the A & U Ng WhatsApp status on 08060699054 or go to Facebook and search for Admissions and UTME Nig or NDU Latest News and follow our updates there.
After the post UTME application ends, the next week is Post UTME examination. The examination MAY take a whole week to conclude as one day may not be enough for everyone to write.
After post UTME examination, next thing is admission. By now, you are already in October/November.

2. Gain Admission into the Niger Delta University as a Direct Entry Candidate into 100 level
Before you can talk of Direct Entry admissions, it means you have what is called A’level. A’level means “Advance Level” result. It is higher than O’level which is WAEC and NECO. A’level refers to certificates such as NCE, OND, previously HND but has been equalled to B.Sc, Jupeb, Registered Nurse (RN), etc.

Without the above A’level certificates and their equivalent, you cannot talk of Direct Entry Admissions. Having only WAEC or NECO does not qualify you for Direct Entry admissions but A’level does. Although your WAEC and NECO will also be added to get Direct Entry admissions but A’level consideration comes first.
Direct Entry admission circle starts with Jamb Direct Entry form. The form is often sold along with normal Jamb form at about N3,500. Although total average cost may reach N5,500. Direct Entry candidates do not write Jamb, they only purchase the Jamb form. It is during the direct entry jamb form that you will choose the university of your choice. You will not go to the university to buy the form at first. But Jamb will send your name to the university you chose during the Jamb DE form purchase.
The form may be available as from January/February when Jamb forms are released. After the Jamb Direct Entry (DE) form, when NDU post UTME form is released around June/July/August, take the form. It cost 3,500. You will not write the exam but only purchase the form.
Next is admission. Direct Entry candidates lack information because the focus is always on normal Jambites. If this information is invaluable to you, then you need the A & U Ng Direct Entry Admission Guide. The A & U Ng Direct Entry Admission Guide provides all the information you need on DE admissions.
