The Niger Delta University 2021/2022 academic calendar which will commence on the 14th of January, 2022 is meant to last for just 9 months, 7 days. This is because the session is expected to elapse on Friday October 21st, 2022.

NDU Resume January 14th, 2022; See Examination Dates

While freshmen will resume Friday January 14th, 2022, returning students (200 level – final year) are expected to resume a week later on Friday 21st, 2022.

Everybody will start lectures at the same time on Monday January 24th, 2022. Freshers are often made to resume ahead to have little space for registration. Sometimes, the difference between resumption of freshers and returning students is even up to two weeks unlike this one of one week.

Lecture for first semester will end Friday April 15th, 2022. This is a lecture period of 2 months, 3 weeks and 2 days. Also a total of 11 weeks and 5 days.

First semester exams will start with education students on Monday April 18th, 2022 while the general examinations ends Saturday May 14th, 2022. This means the examinations will last for extactly 4 weeks.

The first semester break/holiday which will commence Monday May 16th to Friday May 27th, 2022 indicates that there will be a 12 days holiday.

Second semester starts on Monday May 30th, 2022 and will last for 3 months and 18 days as lecture ends Friday August 19th, 2022 while exams ends September 17th, 2021.

Second Semester Examination starts Monday August 22nd, 2022 and end Saturday September 17th, 2022.
Second semester break/holiday takes place Monday September 19th to Friday October 21st, 2022.

This is a month and 2 days period. The 2022/2023 academic session is expected to start in late October after Senate’s consideration of second semester result on October 26th, 2022.
