The Niger Delta University have pegged December 16th as the deadline for all newly admitted students to pay up their acceptance and school fees. This information was contained in the admission text message sent to newly admitted students on the 2nd of December, 2021.
Failure to pay up before December 16th will lead to admission forfeiture according to NDU. “Note that the offer will lapse if you fail to comply” the text message reads.
This is not the first time the NDU is placing deadline on admissions. It has earlier in announced withdrawal of admissions for the 2020/2021 session in April, 2021. Kindly clck the link below to see the first warning:
After this warning, many freshers did not adhere and the NDU consequently retrieved admissions to many newly admitted students. This was the second time the institution is retrieving admissions from students. In the 2016/2017 academic session, under the Prof. Ogoni administration, the NDU also released a document titled CANDIDATES THAT DID NOT ACCEPT ADMISSION (TO BE DELETED FROM ADMISSION LIST) – 2016/2017 ADMISSION. This document consists of hundreds of names of admitted students which the NDU retrieved from the admission list.
However, before the NDU will retrieve admission, it will send affected students warning sms to give them time to adhere. The link below provides more hints on the warning of admission retrieval for 2020/2021 academic session.
NDU admissions retrieval takes place in batches. Those offered admission in first and second through third list may be retrieved together while subsequent list may come in later retrieval attempts. Check out the link below:
It should also be stated that the NDU reinstated admissions when the cry for help went viral and gave a grace period to enable all affected to align themselves. Refer to the link below for more details:
To avoid forfeiture of admission, the only way forward is to pay up your acceptance and school fees. In all of these, one thing is certain… warning messages will be sent and this period will may take another extra week to one month counting from December 16th.
To help secure your admission, you can register with Emerald MPCS in NDU. The cooperative helps you to save your school fees in parts and grants you school fees loans when retrieval of admission strikes.
