how long after the main post utme before supplementary post utme is released
when will supplementary post utme be released
how much is supplementary post utme
If you fall into the above category, then this material is for you. This publication is meant to enlighten you that the NDU also often writes another post UTME examination after the first one. This one is called a SUPPLEMENTARY POST UTME EXAMINATION.
With the current wave of Jamb cutoff mark reduction, it is very possible that the NDU MAY also further reduce the cutoff mark to 140. Although sources indicates that the VC is more bent on quality of education with its attendant high cutoff mark, reality later force the management to reduce cutoff to 150.
Same reality may also force the NDU to further deplete its cutoff mark to 140 like Federal University, Otuoke if the university ever bother about its placement figures. This is because despite the reduction of its cutoff mark of 160 to 150, the university was still unable to meet up with its regular patronage. Only about 3,700 candidates still applied (our last application was 3,6**).
To further explain what supplementary Post UTME is, it is a second Post UTME examination after the first one. The University feels that during the first announcement, application and exams, some candidates who chose NDU as first choice may not hear, have time or the privilege to apply and write, hence, the University in a later date, after the first examination, opens up its portal for a second chance application. However, this second application is also for first choice candidates alone.
So yes, the Niger Delta University conducts supplementary post UTME for students who were not aware of the first application and those who may have performed poorly in other Universities and wish to change institution to the Niger Delta University later. This supplementary post UTME is also for first choice students only as the Institution does NOT allow second choice applicants. Hence, after the first application has been concluded and exams finished with results released, the portal is opened again for another (supplementary) application.
This will allow candidates have a second chance for the same year. However, if you had applied and wrote the first exam, you cannot apply again. It is only for those who missed the first application. But whether the NDU will conduct supplementary post UTME for the current year is what we can only speculate but not 100% certain. But owing to previous happenings and the current low patronage of the 2021/2022 Jambites, we are very optimistic that there will be supplementary Post UTME.
How Long Before Supplementary Post UTME Is Released?
The NDU supplementary post utme for 2020/2021 was released as at February 1st, 2021. Meanwhile, the first post UTME ended 22nd January, 2021. This is a 9 days interval. Consequently, we speculate that the NDU supplementary Post UTME will be released two weeks after the main Post UTME which took place November 8th-10th, 2021.
