The Niger Delta University Alumni Association (NDUAA) have released a list of elective cost for the upcoming elections.
The cost of all positions ranges from N200,000 for the position of the president to a least cost of N100,000 for other various positions.
Recall that the NDUAA called a congress which held Saturday 9th October, 2021 at 12:00pm. The meeting which was reportedly greeted with political shenanigans ended barely 10 minutes later. The meeting saw the emergence of the new eleco same day with Comr. Gesikeme Fulutu emerging as the eleco chairman.
Since the meeting held, various reactions have been expressed with many totally dissatisfied and suspect possible foul play in the process. It has earlier been alleged that NDUAA have plans to do everything backdoor. With these new happenings, it is becoming glaring that there may be possibilities of hoodwinking the process to enable those in power have their way.
Since the last meeting, the eleco body have released the cost of vying for all positions in the NDU alumni elections. See the list below:
- President – 200,000
- Vice President – 150,000
- Secretary general – 150,000
- Assistant secretary general – 100,000
- Treasurer – 150,000
- Financial secretary – 100,000
- Welfare/organizing secretary – 100,000
- Public relations officer – 100,000
- Provost – 100,000
- Legal adviser – 100,000
- Editor-in-chief – 100,000
