Delta State students across the length and breadth of the country are set to protest the delay of the Delta State Government 2020 bursary payment. Therefore, all the chapter presidents of NADESSTU and Comrade community have synergized to ensure the Delta State Government 2020 bursary is paid.
Recall the portal for the Delta State bursary registration was opened last January and lasted through March where many eligible students of Delta extraction registered.
Since then, the State Government has not made the bursary payable, hence the students community are gearing up to pressure the Delta State government to pay up the bursary.
The peaceful protest is expected hold online with all students participating in the peaceful online protest. The NDU NADESSTU president, Comr. Onos Figo has expressed dissatisfaction over students’ behaviour who would only ask when the Delta State bursary would be paid but would not participate in the NADESSTU peaceful online protest.
According to the NADESSTU Comrade, all protest agitations would be posted on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, etc with the hashtag #whenwouldourbursarybepaid?
The NADESSTU community also vowed to pay a visit to the bursary board in Asaba the State capital tomorrow Tuesday 15th, December, 2020.
