The Niger Delta University Postgraduate School is one with excellent service and accompanying quality Postgraduate policies. To understand this, NDU postgraduate students immediately start their thesis concurrently with their lectures. NDU Postgraduate Diploma Programme (PGD)

The Niger Delta Universty NDU Postgraduate Diploma is one of the least programmes run by the NDU Postgraduate school. The NDU PGD programme is meant for students who scored below the Masters entry requirements. It is also for those who interlope in their career ad needed a base knowledge in a field to qualify to go on with their Masters in the new field.

To apply for the NDU PGD programme, the following criteria is expected of applicants: A candidate with at least third class degree in the relevant field from an approved University. NDU Postgraduate Masters Programme (M.SC, M.A, M.Eng)

The Niger Delta University Postgraduate Masters Programme runs to equip students in relevant higher knowledge in their respective fields of studies. The programme accept a minimum of second class lower as entrant requirements and runs for a minimum duration of fours semesters to six semesters. To apply for the NDU Postgraduate Masters, candidates must have at least second class honours (Lower Division) Bachelors’ Degree from an approved University. The NDU Ph.D ptogramme is the apex of all the programmes run by the NDU Postgraduate school and the University at large. NDU Postgraduate Transcripts

The first thing you need to do after applying for the NDU postgraduate studies is to apply for your transcripts. If you schooled in NDU in your undergraduate, you are going to visit the office of the registrar with a letter for application with the transcript receipts already confirmed (signed and stamped by the bursary in main campus). NDU Postgraduate Admission Interview

It all depends on the Department. Some Departments in NDU conduct examinations while others conducts interviews. Meanwhile, other Department may do both examinations and interviews. In any case, both interviews and examinations to say the least are very simple. in fact, they all bothers on the research project format. You may be asked to identify a research problem, which is basically a project topic. If you were not too good in research then in undergraduate, you can just write down your undergraduate research topic. Then all other questions MAY emanate from your topic.

NDU Postgraduate After Admissions

Immediately you are granted admissions, you will be notified via text message informing you of the admission and the next step. The Niger Delta University NDU Postgraduate Acceptance fees is N40,000 as at 2020. This is the second fee you pay to the NDU after your NDU Postgraduate application fee of N30,000. All NDU Postgraduate fees are made online and the University have implored all students to use the services of experienced cafe owners to avoid hitches found with online payments. NDU Postgraduate Classes

All the courses offered in the NDU Postgraduate School are held in the Main campus, Newsite, CHS and Law Faculty. The NDU Postgraduate programme is a full time programme and there is not part time postgraduate programme in the NDU Postgraduate School. Classes are held from Monday through Friday, depending on when you have your classes. Some lecturers however, may decide to bring all classes to Monday through Wednesday to ensure that the weekends are free for students. This depends on the agreement between both the lecturer in charge of the course and the students.


How Much is NDU Postgraduate School Fees 2019/2020 Academic session?

The School fees of the NDU Postgraduate School depends on the programme studied. School fees for M.Sc. and Ph.D differs significantly but within the same range. Charges For NDU Postgraduate

Aside the normal NDU Postgraduate school fees and acceptance fee, there are other charges you will need to pay that are not reflected in any document when you are applying. You only come across these payments whence the programme starts. Below is a list of all these charges.

A. Postgraduate Fees: N58,000. It includes:

1. Certificate Verification: 10,000
2. Code of Honor Fee: N2,000
3. Matriculation Fee: N3,000
4. Guide and Regulation: N3,000
5. Log Book: N2,000
6. Postgraduate Development Fees (One time payment for any postgraduate programme): N15,000
7. Postgraduate prospectus fee: N10,000
8. Plagiarism Test: N3,000
9. Infrastructure Maintenance Fee: N10,000

B. Defence Fee N70,000

This is the official fee the school recognized to be paid by students for defence. However, some Faculties/Departments may also collect their own. Like the Department of Vocational and Technology Education Charges N20,000 extra aside the N70,000 paid to school as its own defence fee. However, Departments such as Political Science do not collect a dime.

C. NDU Postgraduate Course Enrolment

All PGD, Masters and Ph.D students must register their courses once for the whole session. This usually cost within N4,000 to N5,000.


Duration of NDU Postgraduate Programme

Full-Time

a. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes PGD shall run for a minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters
b. Masters (MSc) Programmes Masters programmes shall run for a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters
c. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programmes Doctor of Philosophy shall be a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of ten semesters.

Part-time

a. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes PGD programme shall run for a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters
b. Masters (MSc) Programmes Masters programmes shall run for a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of eight semesters
c. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programmes Doctor of Philosophy programme shall be a minimum of ten semesters and a maximum of twelve semesters.

a. Academic transcript of past qualification (BSc, PGD, MSc, etc.) with forwarding letter signed by authorized officer of the institution and sent by confidential cover to the:

Candidates are advised to write to the school where they graduated for transcript immediately they purchase and submit the form to avoid late submission of transcripts.

b. Two referees, one of which must be an academic referee (Lecturer who taught candidate in former school, Project/ thesis Supervisor, Head of Department, Dean of Faculty. Candidates are required to fill in the email contacts of their referees in the course of the application, and also inform such referees as they would be contacted via email and required to provide information online.

c. NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption/Exclusion Letter. ( Candidates awaiting NYSC Discharge certificate can apply, provided the certificate would be ready at the time of registration)
