Abstract

This researcher on the impact of resource management in secondary schools in Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State was conducted to verify the types of resources available in the schools and how they are managed. This study adopted a survey design while ten schools out of which a sample of 150 respondents comprising of principals, academic staff were selected through the hat and draw sampling techniques. A self structured with a reliability coefficient of 0.78 was used for data collection. Findings showed that resources available in the school are not adequate and the non-existence of specific resources in some of the schools was glaring. Recommendations made include the need for organized seminars and workshops to train the staff and students in school resources management, funding by the government and provision of resources that are inadequate or kicking in the secondary schools.
