“My VC believes in indigenization. That is, using what we have to achieve what we want or proferring solutions to the challenges that we have here”.
“The VC told them in that forum that he is going to use his wealth of experience to tap into entrepreneurship and to expose our students and this university in that line by way of contributing our own quota to the development of Africa. Not just folding our hands and continuing to consume.
“So, we want to use education as a veritable tool to fast track development in Africa. So, that is the focus. And because of his contributions to education, the African Magazine has awarded him”.
“Even when we are in this Covid-19 lockdown, if you go through the campus, the VC has turned the university to a dockyard of construction. A lot of construction works are going on. Take for instance, the Faculty of Science project, which is also the TetFund intervention project, is going on. And it is at an advanced stage now”.
“And also the flood control project, which is also attracted from TetFund, that have also attracted a lot of beauty to the campus. Both in the Newsite and then the Main Campus. A lot is really going on”.
“And there is a lot of interlocking going on, drainage and others like that. Even the Faculty of Agriculture, the administrative building was done and right now, classrooms are also being built in order to make the Faculty a full-fledged, complete Faculty”.
