The management of the Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State has suspended academic activities over fear of spread of the novel coronavirus which is in line with the federal government directive that all universities should close down.
This was made known by the Vice Chancellor through the University owned NDU Radio 98.1FM few minutes past 3:00pm where the VC stated clearly that “in line with the Federal Government directives, we are suspending all academic activities on campus till further notice”.
The VC also noted that “we want to use this medium to advise the university community especially the students that they should go on and pay their school fees for the 2019/2020 academic session and do their registration so that as soon as we come back, especially the year one, we continue our exam and then, we close the portal”.
