It is another year of admission into Nigerian universities as JAMB examinations have been written. As we have always done, we are poised to release adequate vocational/career/admission tutelage that will guide you into getting the course you so wanted.
Year in year out, we have been instrumental to admission seekers by providing adequate, timely, robust and dependable information that propel them into Nigerian universities and most especially the Niger Delta University admission seekers in particular. Headquartered in NDU, we create groups at differentiated levels with the aim of reaching admission seekers on time to guide them as they take steps to venture into the academic world.
The basis for this timely reach is because many admission seekers do not have the requisite information they need. For instance, a parent called our office, complaining that his daughter has not gained admission and sought to ask why? I asked if they had checked their admission status before now. He said “no”. But I was surprised. How did you know your daughter haven’t been admitted when you haven’t checked?
Immediately, I requested for the ward’s JAMB registration number and checked the Niger Delta University portal where admission status is checked (clearance.nduportal.com) Lo and behold! She has been granted admission to study Medicine! I gave them all the needed steps to forge ahead.
So you see! You need adequate and timely information to ensure you get your admission by all means. Lets take another instance. The Niger Delta University sent students sms to change their courses to get admission in the new course in the 2019/2020 academic session.
Not everyone received the text. We attempted to forward/publish the document to many yet-to-be admitted students in our WhatsApp groups to check. Many who never received sms from Niger Delta University saw their names there and changed immediately. In a week time, many of them were granted admission. So, you can see the imperative for quick and timely information?
Unfortunately, many who were not part of our followerships (those receiving our newsletters, reading our publications and broadcasts) did not get quick information and must have led to something else.
Another dimension for the need for quick information is that many admitted students already made a lot of errors before they meet us for tutelage. Imagine someone was told that even without having credit in English in his o’level, he should proceed to buy JAMB form and buy post UTME form. Who does that? Without Credit in Maths and English, no university programme of study will admit you. Maybe Agriculture will accept Pass in Maths, but not English. These are the issues. The need for effective career/vocational/admission tutelage is exigent.
Currently, admission process for the 2019/2020 session has come and is fading and we are currently engrossed in the clearance process. Processing admitted students’ admission to enable them forward to their Departments for verification. Meanwhile, we are aware that 2020/2021 Jambites “body dom dey hot”. They just need information. And we are here to guide you again. So let us go.
