Many jambites waiting for admission has been receiving sms to change their course of study to an available programme in the institution. Some applicants have since done so and reportedly been admitted. However, it seems there is a confusion of events now as many jambites are now receiving sms containing details of others.
The sms read thus: “Jennifer Ogonodi (name is hypothetical), Niger Delta University wishes to transfer you to CROP PRODUCTION (new course varies). To accept, kindly change your course at any JAMB accredited CBT centre to this new course and do well to confirm the O’level requirements”.
Many students have been calling to know the true situation of things whether since their details is incorrect in the sms, if they should ignore it. However, our visit to the admissions office yield responses that any who received such sms, irrespective of the error in name should attempt to change their courses as most courses are filled up.
This information indicates that if you receive any sms from the Niger Delta University to change your course of study but the name inside the sms is not your name, the admissions office is advising you to go ahead and change your course, that is if you haven’t gotten admission.
Recall that clearance and verification for freshers have started and school have also resumed. Verification is conducted at the departmental levels.
