The following are updates on current happenings in the Niger Delta University as at this week ending 23rd February, 2019 (Election week).
Resumption for 2018/2019 Freshers
According to the new academic calendar for 2018/2019 (shown below), freshers will resume 26th of April, 2019. However, we have successfully organized tutorial classes which are ongoing. Freshers who think April 26th is too far can resume Monday after the election to start tutorial classes, pay school fees, open file at the Faculty and complete all other requirements so that by April, they are already grounded. (To join the whatsapp group for your Faculty, Visit the whatsapp menu – only for 2018/2019 freshers).
Verification/Physical Clearance
The Niger Delta University physical clearance/verification is still much on. If you gained admission last year and is yet to verify your credentials, you are still very safe now to do it. But hasten up.
JAMB
The Niger Delta University “does not” accept 2nd choice. Those intending to study in the Niger Delta University must fill NDU as 1st choice. Note that 2019 Jambites who will be admitted will resume January, 2020. this is because the second semester for 2018/2019 session will end December 20th, 2019 (Refer to the calendar for 2018/2019 for confirmation).

For this current second semester, exams starts by Monday March 18th, 2019 to Saturday April 13th, 2019. This is a 27 days long examination. (See the timetable below)
Niger Delta University Direct Entry
The Niger Delta University accept Direct Entry (DE) application from suitable qualified candidates. Applicants must have had JUPEB results, NCE, OND, Diploma in Nursing and any other equivalent of these certifications with minimum of second class (lower division). In most cases, especially in 2016/2017, applicants with Pass grade were also considered.
To apply for NDU direct entry, purchase the ongoing JAMB direct entry form at N6,000 in any CBT centre closest to you. JAMB will send your details to the NDU. When it is time for post UTME, you will purchase the post UTME form but will not write the exams. If you fail to purchase JAMB direct entry form, that is to say no admission for you this year. Please, take note.

Please I’m a registered midwife
My question is,am I qualified for the direct enty admission for2019/2020?
Hello Mrs./Ms. Okoye Victoria Chidinma….
You are qualified for the Niger Delta University Direct Entry Admission for the 2019/2020 academic session only IF you have a DIPLOMA in any Nursing programme. Again, you must have purchased the Direct Entry Jamb Form earlier in January this year. Otherwise, you will have to wait till 2020/2021 session to apply. This means that when JAMB form is released by December this year through January, 2020, you will have to buy it.
With regards.
