1a. Total cost of schooling in NDU for regular students
As a student, once you gain admission, you will pay acceptance of N40,000 and a total clearance fee of N44,000. This is a total of N84,000. School fees will depend on your department. Check the next page to see the total clearance fee and school fees for 100 level students. You will pick your school fees and add it to the N84,000 to know the total. 1b. School fees for returning students (200 level and above)
Once you finish 100 level, as you step into 200 level, your school fees reduces by N30,000. So, if you paid N160,000 in 100 level, from 200 to final year, you will pay N130,000. Additionally, in 200 level and above, no more clearance fees but just N2,000 to process the school fees and N2,000 for course enrolment and probably your hostel fee if you are taking hostel. 2. Total cost of schooling in NDU for Direct Entry students
The cost of schooling as a Direct Entry (DE) student in NDU is the same as 100 level students. The only difference is the acceptance fees. Therefore, go up to page 4 and follow all the cost listed in this document and get to know about the fees you will pay.
The only difference between DE and 100 level is the acceptance fees and Jamb result. While 100 level students pays N40,000 as acceptance fees, DE students’ acceptance fees are different. See the different acceptance fees paid by DE students below:
Direct Entry Law students is N110,000; Direct Entry Basic Medical Science Students N80,000; All other Faculties for Direct Entry Students is N60,000.
Additionally, Direct Entry students do not write Jamb examination, hence they don’t have Jamb result which is N2,000 in the list in page 4 above. These are the only difference between DE and 1oo level students.
3. Total cost of schooling in NDU for Postgraduate students
To total cost of schooling in the NDU Postgraduate starts from application to school fees. The Picture in the next page detailed the amount to pay to get registered, clearance and school fees. The NDU Postgraduate is 2 semesters and the rest period to be spent is for your thesis completion.

4. Total cost of schooling in NDU for Part Time students
Part Time Clearance in the Niger Delta University is slightly different from regular students’ clearance. Below is the total cost for the NDU Part Time programme:
- Application N20,000
- Acceptance N40,000
- Clearance N7,500
- School fees per session/year is N110,000 (multiplied by your years of study. Part Time Programme is now 6 years).

5. Total cost of schooling in NDU for Predegree students
The Niger Delta University Predegree programme is not like the above programmes ladden with costs. Predegree cost is moderate and does not include several cost incurred above. The total cost for the most notable expenses in the NDU Predegree are:
- Application total: N20,000
- Acceptance total: N24,000 (includes admission letter, attestation letter and statutory declaration)
- School fees: N153,000
Total: N197,000
Then if you need school hostel accommodation, you pay for no. 4 below:
- Hostel Fee: N15,000 for female and N17,000 for male (Students are free to rent accommodation outside).
Then later, once classes have started, when thumb-printing starts, you will do no. 5 below:
- Thumb printing: N1,500 (amount may change according to sessions and administrative policies).
Other charges includes file opening at the Predegree office and materials to buy which students are to find out upon admission. These fees are petty in nature, emerging and recurring.
6. Total cost of schooling in NDU for Basic students
Basic students pay lesser than Predegree students. In fact, Basic programme do not have anything like acceptance fees. What they do is just application, admission and start classes after clearing at the office. Below are the main costs of applying for the NDU Basic programme:
- Application N9,000 (includes café charges)
- School fees N45,000
- School Fees payment charge N2,000
- Hostel Fee: N15,000 for female and N17,000 for male (Students are free to rent accommodation outside).
- Total is N71,000 for female and N73,000 for male
