Abstract
The influx of secondary school applicants who seek university admission is continually on the high side. Yearly, secondary school graduates apply for admission into the university, whereas, the admission opportunities open to them are limited. This makes many students go un-admitted yearly. In response to this challenge, the predegree programme was launched to aid those who could not get admission through JAMB to do so through the provision of the predegree programme. This paper therefore addresses all issues that borders on all you need to know about the predegree programe here in the Niger Delta University.

Introduction
Have you been having problems gaining admission into the university? Have you written JAMB once, twice or even thrice without any success? Are you still keen in coming to the University? Then another channel is sure. Be conversant with the Niger Delta University Pre-Degree Programme today and find your way into the University. It is a kind of legal back door process. With the Niger Delta Predegree Programme, you have the opportunity of studying for one year and gaining admission into year two as a direct entry student straight to year two.
What You Must Know
The Niger Delta University Pre-degree programme is designed to be an intensive training programme which aimed at preparing university admission seekers (senior secondary leavers) for university education. Given the prevalence of deficiencies students carried over from secondary schools, our Pre-degree programme help students deal with the setbacks that often accompany such circumstances by providing them with a good head-start which will facilitate better academic performance in the university.
Tips
The fact remains that not all applicants who sought for admission will be granted admission in this 2018/2019 academic session. Not in the previous sessions nor in future sessions will a university be able to admit all students who applied through JAMB. However, those who are wise purchase the predegree forms, start the one year programme as those who are admitted are starting year one. By the time they get to year two, the student who was not admitted but started predegree now bracket them in 200 level. This is very wise.
General Admission Requirements
Candidates must possess Ordinary Level, SSCE (WAEC), SSCE (NECO), NABTEB or equivalent with a minimum of four (4) relevant credit passes in subjects which must include English Language for Arts; and English and Mathematics for Sciences and Social Sciences.
